Ask the Author: Rochelle B. Weinstein
What would you like readers to know about you?
Thanks for having me here, Maddie. Readers should know that it is because of them that I write. My books are thoughtful and emotional, capturing the essence of the human spirit. My goal is to touch you all with those words.
What is your book about for those who haven’t read it?
My fifth novel, This Is Not How it Ends, is a love story, capturing the choices we make along the way. It will break your heart and put it back together again.
What has been your inspiration for writing it?
My first novel, What We Leave Behind, was a fan favorite, and truly, I was determined to write another unputdownable love story.
What was your favorite scene or part of your book to write?
The letter. Just wait. Readers went crazy over the letter. A second choice would be the scene when characters Philip, Charley, and Ben went boating together in Miami.
What books or authors inspired you to become a writer?
Judy Blume, Danielle Steele, Sidney Sheldon, VC Andrews, and Jodi Picoult.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors who want to write a book?
Don’t give up. What separates those who find success from those who don’t is the never giving up. Today’s publishing landscape offers alternative paths to publication. Everyone’s journey is unique. Find yours and make it happen.
